·         Develop state-of-the-art software algorithms, designs, and prototypes;
·         Implement algorithms using object oriented design principles;
·         Develop, optimize, test,  and deliver computationally rigorous (industrial-strength) scientific software;
·         Evaluate and document algorithm and software design and performance;
·         Prepare technical reports and publish papers describing algorithms and software designs.
Job Requirements
Successful applicants generally have the following backgrounds and experiences:
·         M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational or Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field with a focus on computational science/ engineering or on software engineering;
·         Significant experience in C++ programming in a technical or scientific environment using the Linux operating system as evidenced by technical publications, released software, and/or work with large scale scientific computations;
·         Course work in or demonstrated in-depth working knowledge of efficient implementations, software engineering, object oriented design principles, and one of linear algebra, numerical analysis or optimization, or probability and statistics with a record of academic excellence;
