We invite you to make a poster presentation at the forthcoming Center
for Value Chain Research (CVCR) Spring Symposium on May 11-12, 2011.
You will be able to present your projects, network with faculty and
industry representatives, and benefit from constructive suggestions
from colleagues and potential employers. We welcome any projects
related to supply chains or value chains.
This is an excellent networking opportunity. Several industry
representatives attend the symposium. Please find the attached list of
organizations that attended last year.
The posters will be displayed throughout the symposium, including the
Student Networking Reception on May 11. The designated Poster Session
will be held on May 12. The session will also serve as a competition
and symposium attendees will vote for the best poster. The first-place
award is $200 and the second-place award is $100.
All graduate students who would like to present their work are invited
to contact us at informs@lehigh.edu. Please include a short
description (app. 100 words) of your projects. We are going to print
the posters at no cost to you, and make them ready at the symposium
venue. Below are a few guidelines for you:
- Please remember that most of the attendees will be from industry
so make sure that your posters are non-technical enough to be easily
understood.
- The posters are going to be printed on 24in x 36in paper. Please
take this into account while preparing your poster. Resizing
afterwards can distort the page content seriously.
- The poster submissions are going to be in PDF format. You are free
to use any software (i.e. PowerPoint) to prepare your poster as long
as you submit a PDF file in the end.
- You can find several poster examples, templates and guidelines on
